Our Tech Byte sessions get a little intense sometimes. Here Lea and Anna are playing Jet Ski Addition. This is a downloadable app that allows you to create or join races. You answer questions to win the Jet Ski Race and are given your accuracy and total score when the race is over. The great educational aspect for us is that you can connect multiple iPads into one game to get some healthy competition going in your classroom or across the school. The heated discussions of accuracy vs total number of questions correct are a good discussion point. Just as Lea :-)

Mary-Anne introduces the SAMR Model
Mary-Anne Murphy was back again today to introduce the SAMR Model so we can further our development according to our charter goals.
How can I use the SAMR model and deliberate acts of teaching to raise achievement for my target students.
We got into groups and shared the learning we have been doing so far this term, and where it fits within this model. What part was it? Where could the learning go?
Key Messages:
- Start with the needs of the student
- Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK)
- A balanced use of each level of SAMR and recorded in your planning

The first round of visiting colleague Blended eLearning has begun!
The focus is on what ICT are you using in your classroom? What does it look like in your planning? Which of the focus apps are you using?
A huge thank you to Katrina, Cherry and Vicki for me first up. You guys were awesome.
